ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a reliable worker?
Are you responsible and dependable?
Are you observant and alert?
Are you looking for night work?
If the answer is yes then we have just the position for you!
We are looking for night wardens to work within a small team within our accommodation based services in Bedford. We support vulnerable adults including those with mental health issues. You will keep our Supported Accommodation houses safe and secure throughout the night hours, sometimes 8pm to 8am (but may slightly change from time to time). You will be required to remain alert and vigilant during your shift and ensure the residents, visitors, staff and the building are kept safe and secure at all times. As it is generally quiet throughout the night you will be required to do some general household duties and walk around the house regularly to complete your checks.
We are also looking for Support Workers for our Supported accommodation Projects in Bedford. Here the successful candidate will work alongside and support the residents to increase their level of independence and enhance their life skills. There is no personal care in our Supported Accommodation houses.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds ranging from education leavers to those that are looking for a career change. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience as we provide lots of support and free excellent training.
We will provide a full induction programme which includes shadowing current staff members to ensure you are comfortable and ready to begin working. We also encourage and support employees to gain further qualifications and the opportunity to progress within the company. We also provide:
- top-up pay for sleep-in duties so you end up with a full hourly rate
- on-line and in-house training
- regular supervision
- enhanced pay at weekends
- monthly pay
- holiday pay
- company pension scheme
- A regular training and supervision
- A relaxed and friendly work environment
- staff awards scheme with cash reward
